Overview of Dental Crowns

Comprehensive Dental Care offers dental crowns to help restore the function, strength, and appearance of a tooth. A dental crown is a cap-like restoration that covers the entire visible portion of a tooth, protecting it from further damage. It is a permanent solution that can protect a tooth from fracture or decay, restore its shape and size, and improve its overall appearance.

Dental crowns are also used to strengthen a tooth that has had a large filling, to correct a bite issue, or to cover a dental implant. At Comprehensive Dental Care, the dentist will assess the condition of the tooth and determine the best type of crown for each individual patient. The dentist will then prepare the tooth for the crown and make impressions of the teeth to ensure a proper fit. The crown will be crafted to match the patient’s existing teeth and will be securely bonded to the tooth.

Comprehensive Dental Care provides high-quality dental crowns that look and feel natural. With proper care, dental crowns can last for many years. The dentist will provide detailed instructions on how to care for the crown and keep the smile looking its best.

Benefits of Dental Crowns

Dental crowns offer many benefits to patients in Crown Point. Dental crowns are a great solution for restoring teeth that have been damaged by decay or are otherwise weak. They can also be used to cover teeth that are discolored or misshapen. Crowns can also be used to support a dental bridge or to cover a dental implant. With a dental crown, patients can look forward to improved function and a restored smile.

Dr. Mariya Bodnar is experienced in the placement of dental crowns. She will assess the patient’s needs and create a treatment plan that is tailored to their individual needs. With a dental crown, patients can look forward to improved dental health and a restored smile. The crown will be matched to the patient’s natural teeth to ensure a natural look. With proper care, a dental crown can last up to 10 years or more.

Types of Dental Crowns

At Comprehensive Dental Care, we offer a variety of dental crowns to meet the needs of our patients. A dental crown is a tooth-shaped “cap” that is placed over a tooth to restore its shape, size, strength, and appearance. Crowns are typically made from materials like porcelain, metal, and resin, and can be used to treat a variety of dental issues, including cracked or broken teeth, discolored teeth, and more.

Our experienced dentist at Comprehensive Dental Care can help to determine which type of crown is right for you, depending on the location and condition of the tooth. Porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns are a popular option, as they offer strength and durability, as well as a natural-looking appearance. All-resin crowns are also an option, and are more affordable than porcelain crowns. Additionally, all-metal crowns are available, and are particularly strong and durable.

No matter which type of crown you choose, you can be sure that you’re in good hands at Comprehensive Dental Care. Our experienced dentist will ensure that your crown is of the highest quality and fits your needs. Contact us today to learn more about our dental crowns and to schedule an appointment.

Process for Receiving a Dental Crown

At Comprehensive Dental Care, Dr. Mariya Bodnar offers dental crowns to restore the health and function of your teeth. A dental crown is a custom-made cap that fits over your existing tooth, protecting it from further damage and restoring its strength. To receive a dental crown, you will need to attend two appointments. During the first appointment, the tooth will be prepared and an impression will be taken of your mouth. This impression will be used to create the custom crown that is tailored to fit your mouth. During the second appointment, the custom crown will be placed over the prepared tooth and adjusted to ensure a comfortable fit.

You can trust Dr. Mariya Bodnar and the team at Comprehensive Dental Care to provide a high-quality dental crown that will last for many years. With proper care and regular dental visits, your dental crown can last for up to 15 years. You can expect the crown to look and feel just like your natural tooth. Comprehensive Dental Care will ensure that your dental crown looks natural and blends in with your other teeth.

Aftercare for Dental Crowns

Dental crowns can help restore strength, shape, and size to a damaged or decayed tooth. It is important to follow proper aftercare instructions to ensure the longevity of the crown.

It is important to practice good oral hygiene to ensure the crown remains in good condition. This includes brushing and flossing twice a day and visiting the dentist regularly. Dr. Mariya Bodnar can provide advice on how to properly care for the crown to ensure it remains in good condition.

I was referred here and from day one, i had a great experience. The front desk ladies were very kind and caring. only issue i had was there lack of not returning calls. i had left several messages and no returns but yet they did answer my call once i was able to talk with someone. The lady who answered was kind and apologized to me.Dr. Colson did my extractions on January 3, 2025, and he was very kind, gentle and patient. I was a bit nervous but he and his dental assistant made me feel comfortable and assured that they had my interest at heart first. I was in no pain nor discomfort .No more than the usual pressure that comes with tooth extractions, etc.....Thank you for taking care of my dental needs.I highly recommend this office. Just be patient but they do great work.God Bless,Sheila Hilliard

I would like to commend the front office staff. They are intelligent and caring. I had an issue with out of network insurance that they caught BEFORE I had service. With Dominique's help, we were able to resolve the issue. Keep up the great work!

This dentist place is not good. They make you wait for hours and hours. The doctor is not responsible he just sits while there is people waiting. They did a job on my teeth and instead of fixing it they messed my teeth by breaking the tooth in half. At the end of waiting for hours they never called me or anything.

If I could rate it lower I would. The absolute worst!!! Unprofessional and rude. Will have you waiting for hours while you are the only one in the waiting room. And don’t ask how much longer. Just got looked at funny and rolled her eyes. Then get told after going back that I have come back at another day to complete what they scheduled me for. Stay away from this place.

Myself and 3 children had a great experience from start to finish. I’ve never had a dental office allow me to schedule 3 appointments at the same time for each individual child. When we first arrived, both ladies greeted us with smiles and promptly checked us in. Our wait time was approximately 8 minutes before my children were walked to the back by a dental assistant who greeted each of my children by name. After each child came from the back they were walked out with a dental assistant who came to me and told me everything went well, and that another for them will be made. I greatly appreciated the entire staff there. Great great staff, and great great service. This will be our family dentist office. Thank you everyone for taking great care of my kids!
